Meet the creator of The Mindful Planner.

Angela Lopes.

My name is Angela R Lopes, and after I had children I felt more disconnected than ever from who I Angela is. I was no longer a priority, my wants and needs came second to everyone else. 

I grew up as a planner and loved to write out my thoughts, I was also a people pleaser, so forever putting everyone else before myself and my wellbeing.

But when my father passed away, I realized how many lost memories there were because I was too busy juggling everyone else’s wants and needs. I started to question who I was, I knew I was a daughter, wife, mother, sister, friend etc…but who was I and what did I want. I became so caught up in those other roles and I did not take care of myself. Finally, I hit burnout and I was lost, my mind, body and soul needed healing and I needed to find my truth. Who am I and what do I want?  

After hitting rock bottom and my mental health hitting an all time low, weight gain out of control, spiral thoughts and lost ambition I decided it was time for a change. 

I started to prioritize my health, take courses and learn about holistic approaches to my overall health and wellness. I bought a journal, a planner, and a tracker in order to help me reach my goals, but I wanted to be able to consolidate all of this into one place. I didn’t want to use a virtual planner, because I like to have my words, thoughts and plans hit paper. In addition, from a neuroscience perspective you are better able to process, remember and enhance learning through writing.
